Covid-19: As Dutchess Cases Continue To Increase, Here's Latest Breakdown By Town

The number of active COVID-19 cases in Dutchess County continues to climb as the mid-Hudson Valley sees a surge in the virus.

According to the county Department of Health, the number of active COVID-19 cases in Dutchess has risen to 292, up from 212 as recently as last week.

The number is a far cry from the peak of the outbreak in late April, when the county was dealing with 1,860 active cases at one point.

There have been 5,790 confirmed COVID-19 cases since the outbreak began in early March out of 237,514 tests administered in Dutchess. During the pandemic, there have been 166 virus-related deaths.

Twelve patients are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, up from five last week.

A breakdown of active COVID-19 cases in Dutchess County as of Monday, Nov. 9:

  • Fishkill: 43;
  • Poughkeepsie: 35;
  • East Fishkill: 30;
  • Poughkeepsie City: 24;
  • Beacon City: 17;
  • Wappinger: 19;
  • Hyde Park:10;
  • Beekman: 11;
  • Dover: 11;
  • LaGrange: 8;
  • Red Hook: 6.

There are less than five COVID-19 cases in:

  • Amenia;
  • Clinton;
  • Fishkill Village;
  • Milan;
  • Millbrook Village;
  • Millerton Village;
  • North East;
  • Pawling;
  • Pawling Village;
  • Pine Plains;
  • Pleasant Valley;
  • Red Hook Village;
  • Rhinebeck;
  • Rhinebeck Village;
  • Stanford;
  • Tivoli Village;
  • Union Vale;
  • Wappingers Falls Village;
  • Washington.

In the past 24 hours, 111,416 COVID-19 tests were administered in New York, with 3,144 testing positive. The 2.82 positive infection rate is more than double what the state experienced over the summer.

There are currently 1,444 COVID-19 patients hospitalized and there were 26 newly reported virus-related fatalities.

Since the pandemic began, New York has administered 15,664,814 COVID-19 tests, with 529,036 testing positive. A total of 25,947 New Yorkers have died since mid-March.
